I hope everyone had a safe and joyous 4th of July. The weather in New York was simply amazing, standing still at around 75 degrees. I was ecstatic because this meant my friends and I could hang on the rooftop to celebrate another year of independence. I set my plans in motion starting with securing a grill master, then setting up the soundtrack for the evening, and topping it off with the best bourbon (my favorite) I could find, Wild Turkey American Honey®. The rooftop overlooked the Hudson River and was the perfect backdrop for what was sure to be a great evening of music, BBQ, and of course fireworks.
Our very own grill master fired up grilled chicken, hot dogs, and flavorful burgers. This eclectic group of friends consisted of a few Broadway stars who later broke out into song while we waited for the fireworks to begin. As the night went on, we mellowed out with a nice chilled cup of Wild Turkey American Honey®.
After hearing news about Kentucky inventory reaching a 40-year high in bourbon demand, I felt it was the right choice to offer my guests bourbon. Wild Turkey American Honey® Bourbon is one of my favorites because it’s extra smooth and you don’t get that usual burn as you consume it. To keep with the 4th of July theme, I served it up with a few cubes of ice. My goal was to make sure my partygoers could taste the citrus and caramel flavors. Mission accomplished! Soon after our sips, we enjoyed the fireworks and danced the night away. It was an unforgettable evening.
