Chic- Not
Geller also hit the mark when it came to prints. His first look was a pair of black pants with multicolored stripes riding down the front. These paints are illustrious and sleek, setting the energy for the rest of the collection.
Texture was another big win for Geller. Watching the clothes move down the run way, there was a heighten temptation to want to touch them. The garments didn’t just live within themselves. The use of texture created an almost 3 dimensional feel, like things were popping out. So, the garments felt not only like they truly existed but were desirable as well.
Geller’s Fall 2014 collection demonstrates to men the way to be fashionable without ever feeling feminine. Chic. Daring. Desirable. These don’t have to be bad words in men’s fashion. In fact, they should be the adjectives designers hope they elicit from the press and fashion go-seers. Men’s fashion has yet a ways to go. Robert Geller pushes it in the right direction.
