New York City’s historic South Street Seaport area has a hidden gem called Industry Kitchen. It literally just a few feet away from the beautiful east river. We stopped by over the 4th of July weekend to catch a restaurant during one of its busiest times. The stunning 5,000 square-foot venue accommodates up to 300 guests with indoor and outdoor seating. The views of the Brooklyn bridge and picturesque skyline are enough to keep you entertained, so you can imagine what’s it like when you add fireworks.
Merchants Hospitality, Inc. CEO, Abraham Merchant spoke on the 4th of July spectacular, “4th of July is one of my favorite holidays because of the significance of what Independence day represents, celebrating a unified nation and the heroism of those who protect us from harm’s way. In celebration of this, I host an annual fun filled viewing party at Industry Kitchen, which brings the entire community together, families and friends, and visitors from around the world to enjoy the festivities with delicious food, cocktails and the most spectacular view of the fireworks in NYC.”
Speaking of delicious food and cocktails, Industry Kitchen is known for its American cuisines. Their menu items include fresh pasta, Black Angus Sirloin Steak, wood-fired pizzas, and so much more. During the celebration, we tried a sampling of Atlantic Salmon, Baked Chicken, Mac n Cheese, and Roasted Potatoes. To quench our thirst, Industry Kitchen’s chic freestanding island bar served up specialty cocktails, wines, and craft beer. We must mention how friendly and attentive the staff was, they made sure guests felt right at home. They even provided guests with festive 4th of July accessories, making the event even more festive. It was a night to remember.
