Best Dish: The Mark’s Burger was delightful and fulfilling. A great choice if you are on the go. You might also love the classic Challah French Toast.
Overall: During our visit over Memorial Day weekend, 75 Main was the place to be. The restaurant had a live DJ spinning fun tunes and the patrons were both young hipsters to seniors who all seemed to be having a great time.
75 Main is spacious with a breezy decor, modern flare, and friendly staff. Making for the perfect Hamptons dining experience.
One of our brunch rules is to always start with a specialty cocktail. We opted for the Patron Perfect Margarita, mixed with Patron Silver Tequila, Patron Citronge Orange Liqueur, and fresh squeezed lime. We also tried the Espresso Martini, mixed with Absolut Vanilla Vodka, Shot of Espresso, Bailey’s Irish Cream, and Kahlua. Both cocktails were enjoyable and far from watered down like most restaurants. These are great options if you’re looking to start your meal with drinks.
After cocktails we opted for the Challah French Toast, served with strawberries and vanilla creme. You have to be a pretty bad cook to screw up French Toast and thankfully the chef did a great job in preparing these soft treats.
Next were the Crab Cake Benedict served on English Muffin and Hollandaise. As a seafood lover, we thought the crab cakes and benedict combo were pleasant and made for a great mix of flavors.
Behold the Mark’s Burger. If we had to choose a favorite, this would be it. Served on a bun with Bacon, Arugula, Gruyere, Blue Cheese, and a Secret Sauce, the burger was succulent and had so many wonderful flavors. If only we knew what was in the secret sauce but getting that information out of the manager was nearly impossible (lol). The Mark’s Burger is highly recommended.
The Marinated Skirt Steak with mashed potatoes, broccoli, and fried onion rings rounded out our brunch. The marinade added an exquisite flavor to the already tender skirt steaks. They were so tender and juicy, that they will melt in your mouth.
Before we waved the white flag, my companion and I could not break our other rule by not trying the desserts. We opted for the chocolate cake which was topped off with ice cream and a dash of whip. The soft and warm cake mixed with the ice cream made the dessert even more enjoyable and the perfect end to such a beautiful Brunch.
If you’re in the Hamptons, head over to 75 Main to unwind and enjoy fabulous food, cocktails, and music in an upscale, sophisticated atmosphere.
