Reem Acra Spring 2012: Luxury Everyday

Imagine an enigmatic woman strutting in luxury, promenading towards you. And as she commands your full attention, each step closer takes your breath away in ways unimaginable. Well, this was what I experienced as each piece emerged in Reem Acra’s 2102 Spring Collection. Luxury has always been an ideal for this designer though this season modern day royalty played on different prints to achieve an remarkable everyday aesthetic.

Light embroidery on tulle and chiffon gave texture to the long and short silhouettes of the day pieces. An embellished nude leather jacket was free form the traditional forms we all get excited for each fall. Think a zipper free, buckle free sort of piece that takes women from day to night effortlessly. But my standouts included the long deep V leather dress, and the cobalt blue bustier dress. Additionally, all the pencil skirts and dresses that emerged with different oxidized and animal print patterns will undoubtedly breathe some life as women walk by.

Most importantly however, I have to give a very deep round of applause for all the embellished and unadorned gowns and dresses. They are everything women will need next season.
