Reem Acra fall ’14 took us on a journey to “midnight in Paris,” with a complete collection of dresses made for the next round of A-list award season and red carpets. The Reem Acra brand has continued to sit with the creative giants and produce beautiful designs that push fashion to the next level. Voluminous mid-calf silhouettes, as well as elegant columns, create a great range for today’s diverse women.
Sensual and luxurious palettes of silk velvets, Duchesse satins, and wool crepes anchor one of the most anticipated shows of the season. A color palette of black melding into violet, and transitioning into frosty whites and glistening silvers made the collection ultra-lux. The leather trim and black fox on jackets and coats add a whimsical touch of ease when tossed paired with an evening gown.
The Reem Acra brand outdid itself with the seamless transition of structured fabrics, morphing into sheer illusions and sensuous drapes of silk chiffon.
As a lover of fashion, there is nothing better than seeing a woman in a killer gown, and Reem Acra fall ’14 delivers the goods. Standouts for the season include: black sequin and iridescent feather long sleeve dress, gold herringbone dress with metallic wool cape, white embroidered crepe dress, platinum embroidered sequin dress with panne velvet bomber jacket, icy-mint draped chiffon dress with embroidered chiffon skirt, and an embroidered black lace dress with violet iridescent underlay.
The most fun of the collection came with vibrant pops of red. The bright hue was beautifully implemented as an optimistic sign of what’s to be shown for spring ’15. My favorite dress of the entire collection was a red embroidered dress with icy-blue underlay
