Cennamo’s Fall collection can best be described as chic, contemporary and ultimately very different from last season’s doll inspired looks. This season Cennamo constructed edgy cocktail dresses and gowns with sharp asymmetrical cuts and intricate beading in metallic hues of black, blue, grey and the occasional nude.
Two dresses in particular stood out from the entire collection. The first dress, which caught everyone’s attention upon entering the room, a lovely floor length red layered bias gown. The bright color was a complete deviation from the rest of the collection but beautiful nonetheless. The second dress, which I spied actress Gina Gershon gazing at, a gorgeous winter white silk gown with a sexy draped open back. Both of those gowns are likely destined for the red carpet.
Overall the collection showed well and was one of the more well put together presentations. I look forward to seeing what direction Cennamo goes in next.
