Korean designer Choonmoo Park’s Fall 2013 collection began with a subtle black leather tank and black slacks, a reinvented take on an old classic. This was the theme for the rest of Parkchoonmoo: constructed effortless classics.
The show featured fashions for both sexes. The male component was sleek, minimalist, yet functional. The combination of leathers, cashmere, and cottons offered a re-visioned take on sweaters and slacks.
The women’s collection offered more room for exploration and layering. There was the signature Parkchoonmoo look: sleek black dresses, suits, and shift dresses. This year Park also experimented with a tan knit sweater mid-show, which did not disappoint. The yarn was chunky and the knitting was large and braided. Park also presented another stand-out piece in the form of a jet black puffer jacket. The collar puffed out around the neck and had a crowning effect. Both of these pieces served as functional anti-Arctic wear, and gave the illusion of just the right amount of warmth.
The models all wore simple make-up, and had hair straightened back and tied at the nape of the neck.
