Georgine is the vision of Designer Georgine Ratelband, founded in 2011, as a made to measure business, her collection has taken the fashion world over and has been adored by many including Kylie Jenner and Beyoncé. For this season, her focus was on the fairy-tale, with a mix of “Peter Pane” collars and “Cruella de la Ville” fur stoles. The enchanting gowns that draped over the models were quite seductive without showing much skin.
The details were the key to this collection, especially the cotton candy pink neoprene dress with Bon Bon wrapper attached on the side, added a just the right touch. The collection did switch from sweetheart into a much darker hue, with darker tones. The most detailed had to be the Cloud Silk Chiffon blouse with a camel-colored merino wool corset dress, it truly appealed to the eye. The jackets in this collection were a new take on the classics, including a green fur-lined parka. As well creating a motorcycle jacket with a mink motif. In attendance at the show was the likes of J. Alexander is known for his instructor on America’s Next Top Model. Georgine created a new kind of fairy tale during New York Fashion Week.
