Spending fashion night in can never be an option, “Fashion Night Out”… Always! I decided to start my night off the only way a fashionista should, with a runway show, of course at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. Houston, Texas native Cesar Galindo’s Spring 2010 show to be exact. This magnificent show was housed at the infamous M2 Lounge of the meatpacking arena and hosted by “Houston CVB” magazine. The huge space was packed with anticipating guest ready to triumphantly yay or nay the collection. This was definitely a exciting moment for Designer Galindo! The term Extraterrestrial-fashion comes to mind when describing his pieces, because they are definably out of this world. As the statuesque models waltzed down the staircase, through the high white draping, it’s almost as though they just arrived from another planet; a planet named “WE DRESS BETTER THAN YOU”!!! I am such a fan of color and he utilized it so well. Glowing Fuchsia was his muse color for the collection. The Fuchsia Duchess Satin Blossom dress was breathtaking; with it’s ruffled top and slim fitting bottom. The color also lined most of the collection’s cocktail dresses and suits. Another signature look for the collection was a mystique metallic; giving the well tailored suits a classy edge. Graphics were plenty, with horizontal stripes, pop dots and playful polka dots to admire. The show closed with a Metallic Optic white Guggenheim Dress, which opted bold shoulders and a slim fitting skirt. Simply glamorous pieces are all a women needs and Galindo provided a variety of them through his 2010 Spring Collection.
