The brand’s philosophy; Your inner vision is your outer exhibition, was displayed undoubtedly in NEODANDI fall/winter collection, which was held at a Japanese Bistro called En in Downtown NYC. Inspired by 12th-century Japan, the unique, spiritually imbued clothing was presented with the extraordinary physical movement of the models, who were more likely to be seen as dancers or performers. Meeting the traditional idea to the modern 21st-century style with remarkable silhouettes and materials such as fiberglass screening, latex paint and nylon, the collection was more than just a wardrobe but an expression of art, which takes place in fashion.
NiiLartey De Osu, the designer of NEODANDI, told us that he did not want to have a normal runway show but a show in which the dresses are shown in a way the wearer will move in their lives. The peculiar draping and uncommon fit of the attire for both women and men brought us to notice versatile organic aspects of human bodies. The gentle wool and cotton added the softness to the entire look. The exotic accessories, such as glass-drop earring and glass handbags aid in imagining the sensitivity of the far-east culture.
NEODANDI will hold a grand opening of their store on Lafayette Street, NYC within a few months. Stay turned for their updated news!
