Cam Brady (Ferrell) was all set to spend another glorious term as Congressmen when the universe threw him a Pug loving curveball. Suddenly instead of running his solo race he’s going to have to work for a victory against an opponent, Marty Huggins (Galifianakis). The hijinks in this politcal comedy go from mild trash talking to cross bow shooting as the race between Brady and Huggings heats up into all out war. We have watched Ferell as an anchorman, an ice skater and even a race car driver all of which he approached with his trademark slapstick. In this film Ferrel goes well over the top in the most hilarious way possible. He is brash crazy and silly as the incumbent. Galifianakis plays the odd and overly optimistic Huggins perfectly. His naivety enhances most of the film’s most memorable scenes. This film contains some nudity and sexual situations that are inappropriate for little ones, this is not a family film. Grab a couple of your best friends over 17 and see this one it is well worth it.
