“I’m a girl, and by me that’s only great!
I am proud that my silhouette is curvy,
That I walk with a sweet and girlish gait
With my hips kind of swivelly and swervy.”
Lhuillier is known as the Bridal queen and many of her styles I can see in white, pearl or creme but the color palette chosen for the Spring collection pulls heavily from her garden setting. The gowns encompassed delicious caramels and toffee colors. Filling in were also luscious red apple colors and a beautiful Kelly green one-shoulder draped gown that literally made my heart beat a little faster. It actually reminded me of the more upscale version of the green “Atonement” dress that Keira Knightly wore. It’s better than any Faviana rendition. The rose printed strapless ball gown with exaggerated bustled skirt would make me friend someone to befriend who would invite me to a Gala event.
“I adore being dressed in something frilly, When my date comes to get me at my place…”
Outside of the gowns some of my favorite everyday pieces included an Ivory Gold tweed coat and pencil skirt as well as a bronze sequin v-neck a-line cocktail dress. The mint colored floral organza strapless cocktail dress is also a great entry-level piece for women about town.
