Bar III is Macy’s latest private label. The line carries both men’s and women’s ready to wear. The look is sophisticated and chic with a touch of cool, think Williamsburg meets upper east side. The fledgling brand held a winter 2011 preview at the lovely Glass Houses. Guests enjoyed flutes of sparkling wine and tumblers of a cool refreshing beverage called “bloodhound”, while shopping the racks and eyeing the beautiful live models. The preview also served as a debut for the addition of Bar III new line of accessories. The latest addition features nature inspired pieces and sparkly baubles to add glitz to any ensemble.
One of our favorite looks for the season was this winter white 3/4 blazer, with cropped harem pant. The addition of the red top add a much needed splash of color. We also loved the sharp look of the grey sport-coat and slacks. The sweater vest and electric blue tie give the usual suit look an updated freshness and modern appeal.
In the Men’s line the suiting made the biggest impact. The tailored cuts and contemporary styling make them a valued addition to any wardrobe. Each suit held a runway ready look at an affordable department store price.
A highlight of the new accessories line was this amazing statement necklace. A stunning piece for any season, it can dress up even the simplest of looks.
One of the key look for the women’s line was this transitional coat with pleated pocket detail. This stylish coat is made to be worn with anything from your favorite pair of jeans to a sassy cocktail dress as displayed here.
The newest addition to the Macy’s empire showed off a keen sense of fashion and an up to the minute understanding of trends, we look forward to viewing what they dream up next.
