Aptly named MARITIME, designer Luis Antonio’s Spring-Summer 2015 Collection draws inspiration from the island waters of his San Juan, Puerto Rico homeland and his love of graphic designs in bold nautical colors. Presented on September 6 at The Pavilion at Lincoln Center during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York City, Antonio’s dresses, skirts and pants popped and sashayed down the runway.

Day dresses, with fitted bodices and sassy hemlines, in red, blue and tan linear patterns were original, smart and stole the show. The elegant evening wear had an updated 1970’s disco vibe, but was slightly more predictable.
Antonio designed the wardrobe for actress, Mia Maestro in the Canadian movie “Meant to Be.” He has also served as the personal designer for international celebrities including Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony, Don Omar, Anthony Nolasco, Jennifer Morrison, Roselyn Sanchez and Paulina Rubio. Antonio has presented two collections each year, over the past 20 years, in partnership with non-profit organizations including the Ricky Martin Foundation and the American Cancer Society (Puerto Rico).
Antonio has a flagship store in San Patricio Town Center, San Juan and has plans to open an atelier in Miami.
