Forever effortless yet chic, Loris Diran showcased his new Spring/Summer 2011 collection at the Audi Forum. Diran, partnered with Audi Forum, the largest out of 9, to present a militarism line. The charming venue located on Park Avenue in New York City, is surrounded with floor to ceiling windows. Dirans guests received complimentary cocktails, provided by Bullfrog Gin, and a gift bags with a new issue of Runway Magazine. The models rotated on a platform unveiling the new collection. Keeping his signature, Diran displayed an amazing floor length gown, in-caged in the center. The gown was pink with painstaking beading, and a silk basket-weave pattern, on the torso. Diran, known for his 70’s glam design aesthetic, took inspiration from “Diana Ross in the movie Mahogany” which was apparent in his presentation and models hairstyles. The color palette was an array of colors including: lilac, heather grey, light blue, peach, beige and a timeless navy. Models wore structured pants suits, basket-weaved skirts with loose silk blouses, silk/seersucker dresses, and goddess braids. Loris Diran, presented a commanding collection, with an elegant history. The fabrics -silks, charmeuse and seersucker were imported from the Hermes factory in Italy, where designers dream of requesting from. However, having worked with legendary fashion houses earlier in his career, such as Chanel & Versace, it is no surprise that Diran would have that high rank. Loris, has made his mark in the fashion world!
