The Libertine Fall/Winter 2013 collection was presented during New York Fashion Week. The line featured unique patterns, textures and an array of colors. The initial reaction may have been shocking to some, but as soon as you get passed that you will begin to appreciate the bold patterns and bright colors.
The women’s line featured plaid patterns, paired with gemstone designs in outfits that three/four years ago would’ve been a fashion suicide, where as now Libertine can be looked at as a fashion savant. The line also showed interesting takes on blazers, and dresses in uncommon pairings that were surprisingly stunning.
The men’s line was equally as astonishing. Great use of textures on simple, sleek designs. The use of colors and play on patterns are evident and clear in every piece. The cardigans and sweaters while ordinary in design are amazing in color. The men’s collection was sophisticated yet still extremely different from other looks.
