As American as apple pie, Levi Strauss has long extended its reach beyond the domestic shores and around the globe. Heralded as a pioneer in casual wear the 100-year-old brand continues to offer the very best in denim. During New York Fashion week in February, Levi debuted its global collection for 2012. The space on 82 Mercer was decked out with playful vignettes of models in varying scenes of every day life as well as a grand runway for the full fashion week model walk experience. Attendees were delighted to view the collection via a conceptual set which was half catwalk half sidewalk. The models represented a unique assortment of sizes shapes and color which is a trademark of the brand. The men’s line toyed with convention by playing with pant lengths and color while the women’s collection took on masculine shapes and feminine details.
One of our favorite looks from the women’s line was this denim shirt and jeans ensemble. The light and dark denim blouse breaks up the monotony of denim on denim and the soft brown accessories are great accents to the top stitching.
Fall is always a great time for layers, we adored this layered look from the men’s collection. The cropped denim jacket is a great addition to this plaid and stripe combo.
A capri length men’s pant is a surprising look for fall but appears chic and trendy here, paired with a deep black denim and two-tone saddle shoes.
The most surprising look of the evening was this denim overall. With rompers and jumpsuits all the rave over the last two years is it any wonder that this one time staple would make a comeback?
You can find these looks later this year but why wait? The Spring collection is available now! Visit www.levi.com to review the collection and find your local retailer
