The Land’s End woman is a woman of comfort and style. A woman with uncompromising taste who understands that fashionable doesn’t mean fussy. We had the pleasure of enjoying a sneak preview of Fall’s offering at Land’s End Manhattan Showroom. Filled with easily wearable pieces and vibrant color the nearly 50-year-old brand maintains its stronghold on laid back style. The past forty plus years have seen many changes in the label’s identity and market presence. From paper to digital catalogs, Lands End keeps abreast of the current trends and marketing tactics. Most notably the clothing giant created a wishlist feature for its Facebook shop that allows users to highlight their favorite pieces. This development comes just in time for Mother’s day. Unfortunately, mom is just going to have to wait until summer’s end to get her hands on these great finds.
This crimson cropped pea coat is one of our favorite pieces for fall. The style may be familiar but the cut and vibrant color add a freshness to the classic look. Shown with an ankle-grazing skirt and paisley soft its the perfect city-chic wardrobe enhancer.
In addition to the wool outerwear blazers make a big splash at Lands End. The combination of the checkered shirt and rolled sleeves lend a coolness and relaxed feel to this corporate casual look.
One of the hottest shades for spring 2011 is a soft citrus yellow. The shade gets an update for fall with a deeper more mustard shade as shown in this adorable cable knit cardigan. In true Lands End fashion, the cardigans will be available in a rainbow of colors.
In addition to the clothes the brand also offers great accessories and shoes. No woman’s wardrobe is complete without great footwear. One of the most important items to get for fall is a good pair of boots. We loved the worn-in look of these brown leather boots with side buckle detail. A fashion essential to say the least these boots are priced to move and ready for anything.
Casual yet sophisticated is the very essence of Lands’ End style. It embodies an easy-going approach to fashion yet maintains an air of elegance, which as anyone can testify is no easy feat, but then again they have had over 40 years to get it right. Millions of satisfied, well-dressed women can’t all be wrong.
