One of France’s favorite street food, the humble kebab is now available in an elevated atmosphere. Kut takes the kebab off the street and into a brick and mortar dining room with modern decor and a cafeteria-like atmosphere. The concept comes from world traveler and restauranteur Henda Miliani, who seized the opportunity to bring her favorite street food to the big apple. Executive Chef Flourent De Brunelis has over fifteen years of experience in the culinary world and previously worked under former White House Executive Chef, Pierre Chambrin, at the St. Louis Club. A collaboration between Henda and De Brunelis, the menu at KUT reflects a thoughtful execution of consistent healthy and authentic flavorful options surpassing the standards of the kebab stands in France.
Though Kebabs are not uncommon to New Yorkers they are not usually offered in fast casual establishments. At Kut, the Kebab is king and offered in a relaxed comfortable atmosphere. The decor is a mixture of exposed brick, bright white walls and wood furnishings. The service is a simple assembly line where guests can mix and match menu offerings to suit their tastes.
The menu is limited to Sandwiches, Kutties (Half sandwiches), Durum (Flatbread) and bowls (salad). Each option is prepared with tender seasoned chicken, hot or cold veggies and any one of four sauces. The veggie options include coleslaw, salad, caramelized onions, and ratatouille. If you’re looking for a filling meal option we recommend the sandwich with the samurai sauce ratatouille and caramelized onions. The chicken is fresh and flavorful, the veggies add a heartiness, the onions add just a touch of sweetness and the samurai sauce gives it a nice kick. The beverage menu includes selections of beer, various soft drinks, bottled water, and Nana Mint Tea.
The first and only location is 303 6th Avenue, New York, NY 10014, just a few blocks from the ever popular Christopher Street and directly across from the legendary West 4th basketball courts.
