Last night, Kim Crawford Wines celebrated with Jason Wu during an intimate dinner in honor of the GREY Jason Wu Pre Spring 2017 collection. Wu was joined by Laura Harrier, Sonoya Mizuno, Cipriana Quann, TK Quann, Daniel Arsham, BryanBoy, Patrick Li, Lara Hodulick, Angelica Hicks, Madeline Poole, and Clarence Haaster, among others. The menu was curated by Jason in collaboration with chef Camille Becerra.
Guests sipped on Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir and enjoyed Autumn salad with shades of grey cauliflower with black radish and sesame, poached hen with ginger and turmeric broth with a hint of Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc, spinach rolls, and curry leaf salsa verde. Petit fours inspired by Lara Hodulick’s illustrations were served for dessert.
Launched in June 2016, GREY Jason Wu was born from Jason’s desire to dress his friends, inspired by their dynamic personal styles. “I often look to my friends for inspiration and I created this collection for women who look for beautifully made, well considered clothes that have a sense of whimsy and uncomplicated chic that suit their everyday lives.” At the heart of GREY Jason Wu is collaboration. Jason discovered Lara Hodulick’s illustrations by chance through Instagram and incorporated Lara’s Matisse-like faces on silk, knits, and jacquard.
