Cioci’s collection encompassed a myriad of layering pieces in girlie floral prints and feminine silhouettes. The collection was part dreamy and romantic with ruffled trimmed dresses made of chiffon and part masculine with oversized sweaters and soft knits. We adored this collection not only for the wearable pieces but for the light and airy feel they gave. A dreamy color palette of blush pinks, sheer black, tan, and cobalt blues gave an earthy appeal. Cioci put together a collection that makes getting dress effortless. Each piece stood out on its own.
The models wore very minimal makeup with pink rosy cheeks and slightly tousled side ponytails. The outerwear was divine. We drooled over a fur collared ruffled wool coat, a military style camel colored cape, and a super chic cropped shearling jacket. We appreciated Cioci’s attention to detail which showed in the draping and pleating of a few dresses. As we viewed each model we were shocked to see plus size model Marquita Pring in the presentation. Marquita is mostly known from her fabulous V magazine shoot and has slowly but surely become a recognizable face in the fashion industry. She wore a beautiful pink draped pleated empire waist dress that could fit a variety of sizes.
While the majority of the collection was filled with light airy pieces there were a few looks that gave off a warm and cozy vibe. There was a turtleneck sweater dress, knit leggings, and skinny pants, which were the perfect pieces to jump start a fall wardrobe. We loved how Joy’s collection was chic and sophisticated with pieces that had a youthful flair.
