The makers of Comsi Comsa Apple Sparkling Wine has added a new vodka to their ever-growing catalog, Upstate Vodka. The vodka is like no other. Upstate Vodka is produced in Oneonta, NY and is made from locally sourced New York State apples. It is produced in small batches with high-quality standards. While there are apples involved in the production of the vodka, it is not apple flavored. For the ultimate taste test, we chilled the vodka and poured it into a shot glass. We would describe the taste as having a little sweetness in the beginning but smooths out, almost instantly. Even with the tiniest sip, the flavor of the vodka will still fill your mouth, minus the burning sensation you get from other vodkas. To sample as a cocktail, we mixed Upstate Vodka with unsweetened pure cranberry juice since the vodka has a hint of sweetness to it. It does not take away from the vodkas natural flavors. You can also try mixing Upstate Vodka with apple-based juices and all natural ingredients.
The vodka comes in an easy to grip glass bottle which perfectly displays its bright clear color. While most vodkas are derived from potato, wheat, and rye, it’s nice to have other options.
