Summer is such a wonderful season to experiment with flavorful food and cocktails. Pinnacle Vodka had the right idea by getting a bunch of foodies and cocktail enthusiasts together for a night of cooking demos and cocktailing! The premium vodka brand cleverly introduced their Summer of Unexpected Pairings menu. The night was hosted by Food Network’s fan-favorite Chef
This special menu does not include your traditional burgers and hot dogs. Which I must say is refreshing. Food should always be fun! Thankfully Chef Robinson and Pinnacle Vodka changed that. Working with the Pinnacle Vodka mixologist, Claire developed a series of simple, seasonal dishes designed to pair perfectly with Pinnacle’s specialty cocktails.
Before showing guests how easy it is to whip of these menu items, Chef Robinson explained her food pairing choices and much more…
The 4th of July menu includes:
- Snappy Ginger Garlic Peas paired with Pinnacle Unflavored Vodka in the Sage Vice cocktail.
Snappy Ginger Garlic Peas
1 pound sugar snap peas, trimmed
1 tablespoon grated peeled ginger
2 teaspoons seasoned rice vinegar
1 1/2 tablespoons garlic olive oil
2 tablespoons sesame seeds, toasted
Prepare a bowl with icy water and set aside. Cook peas in a large pot of boiling salted water until just tender, 2 to 3 minutes. Transfer to a bowl of icy water to stop the cooking. Drain peas and pat dry.
Whisk together ginger, vinegar, and oil. Add peas and sesame seeds and mix. Season with salt and pepper.
Sage Vice
1 part Pinnacle Unflavored Vodka
1 part Pineapple Juice
1 quarter part Lemon Juice
1 quarter part Dry Vermouth
Mix ingredients over ice shake and strain over fresh ice in a rocks glass. Garnish with a sage leaf (make sure to tap the sage leaf between palms or snap in the fingers to release its essence).
- Mojo Pork Tenderloin paired with Pinnacle Raspberry Vodka in the Red, White & Blue cocktail
- Sugar & Spicebox Cake paired with Pinnacle Cinnabon Vodka in the Cinnabon Splash cocktail
Overall, the pairings complimented each other and would be perfect for not only 4th of July but all summer long! The pairings will kick off with a special 4th of July menu on Pinterest and will then continue with a new pairing post every week throughout the remainder of July.
Be on the look out for delicious main and side dishes, and even a few scrumptious desserts. What I love most about the pairings, is the chance to try some of Pinnacle Vodka’s most popular summer flavors, like the Coconut, Cinnabon, and Tropical Punch.
Thanks to wonderful team at Pinnacle Vodka and Claire Robinson for showing us how to have fun with our food and cocktail. You must try these at home!
Keep up with Pinnacle Vodka’s Pinterest page for all the latest! Happy 4th!.
