Last night, STARMAKER kicked off New York Fashion Week with SVEDKA Vodka for the launch of Rizzoli book, Richard Bernstein: STARMAKER: Andy Warhol’s Cover Artist. The book is a behind-the-scenes exploration of the work by American artist and Studio 54 regular Richard Bernstein that celebrates his glamorous, iconic, and larger-than-life portraits for the covers of Andy Warhol’s Interview magazine, as well as visually arresting fine art, movie posters, and album covers he created from the mid 1960s to 1990.
For the launch party, PUBLIC Arts was transformed with blown up visuals from the book of legendary fashion, film and music icons such as Liza Minelli, Billy Idol, Diana Vreeland, Mick Jagger, and of course, Andy Warhol to celebrate late artist Richard Bernstein’s work.
Authors Mauricio Padilha and Roger Padilha were joined by NYC fixtures Randy Jones, Angie Everhardt, Miss Jay Alexander, and Amanda Lepore, to name a few! Guests enjoyed SVEDKA cocktails throughout the evening, such as “Starmaker” and “Megastar.”
Cheers!
