The most important thing I enjoyed about the Improvd presentation was the hair and staging. The inspiration for the Spring/Summer 2012 line was parrots and I could see that in the hair and makeup of the girls.
I am a stickler for detail. Those pieces just stand out to me. I really enjoyed the basket weave and textured vests in taupe and the darker textured bolero. While some of the reptilian, scale-like details on the neckline of the airy dresses were not my favorite but I could appreciate the juxtaposition.
The printed fabrics were reminiscent of splatter paint or marbleizing paint techniques. Perhaps it was just a bit too dark for spring. The teals and grays just seemed so cold. But even the girl evoking goth wants to dress nicely for spring and summer. Improvd may be a bit more up that girls alley.
