One of our favorite liquor brands, I.W. Harper Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey partnered up with Bronx-based culinary collective, Ghetto Gastro to bring the last leg of their multi-city pop-up experience, Harper Houseโ to New York City and help fight against food insecurity.
Coming off the heels of the release of their first-ever cookbook, Black Power Kitchen, Ghetto Gastro gathered residents of New York City for a night of delectable bites such as the Black Power Waffle and King Jaffe Jollof, and an exclusive book signing. All proceeds of the sales, along with a matching donation from I.W. Harper, benefitted the Bruckner Mott Haven Community Garden, which will provide twice as many nourishing meals to families in the Bronx, one of the poorest congressional districts in the country.
Guests included rapper, Brent Faiyaz, who enjoyed Atlanta-based creative cocktail duo, Whiskey and Rosemaryโs New York City-inspired cocktail, The Ritual. The cocktail featured ingredients such as infused coffee, apple liqueur, and I.W. Harper Cabernet Cask Reserve, as an embodiment of the hustle and bustle of โthe big apple,โ culminating in exquisite harmony.
While we usually enjoy ourย I.W. Harper Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey served neat, you must give The Ritual cocktail a try.
