H&M, Hennes & Mauritz, the international fashion retailer and Uptown Magazine celebrated the grand re-opening of H&M Harlem in New York last night. The preview, a red-carpet event, was open to VIP and press from 7pm-10pm. Guests enjoyed music, drinks provided by Belvedere, an array of hors d’oeuvres, and 25% off the evening’s purchases. The guests consisted of fashion directors, celebrity wardrobe stylists, designers, bloggers, and photographers. The official unveiling took place this morning July 30th, at 10am offering its signature store opening benefits, H&M T-shirts for the first 200 shoppers and access to a fashion pass, valued from $10 to $300. One lucky winner received an All Access Fashion Pass, allowing them early entry into the store and a personal style consultation from an H&M stylist. The 125th street location, has partnered with the Boys & Girls Club of Harlem, by donating gift cards to the club, and granting members early access to the store at 9am, in addition a financial grant to support their programs. H&M offers trendy fashion-forward apparel for the entire family, and will offer weekend sales that benefit the entire family including: ladies dresses starting at $3, men’s shirts starting at $5, and girls leggings starting at $3. H&M was established in Sweden in 1947, and today has 195 open doors in the United States, and approximately 2,000 locations worldwide.
