Swarovski and Harper Bazaar teamed up again this week on celebrating their collaboration of the Harper Bazaar December issue. This is the third year that the two has created a crystallized issue. Avril Graham, the Executive Fashion and Beauty Editor of the magazine, hosted the spectacular evening. Guest at the event enjoyed taking photos in front of the December cover, which reveals Swarovski Crystallized lips.
The event previewed Swarovski Autumn/Winter 2010 Atelier collection, which consisted of versatile pieces that can be worn to dress up a pair of jeans or an evening gown. Christopher Kane’s Bolter necklace was one of the most popular pieces showcased at the event. The simplicity and elegance of the crystallized necklace will be available in three crystallized colors (silver, bronze, and black). Holly Fulton, Karl Lagerfeld, and Kurt Holmes are other popular designer accessories that were previewed at the event.
Many industry guests were in attendance, but two particular individuals held striking conversations about their own crystallized designs. Jewelry Designer, Jerome Lamaar, featured his crystallized necklaces. The multidimensional collection, Compleated, portrays the shapes of the galaxy consolation. Jerome admitted that his inspiration was developed from his grandmother who was a gemologist.
Another upcoming accessories designer joined the event to reveal her cell phone cases, Zee Lush, made with Swarovski Crystals. The crystals on this one of a kind cell phone cases are created around handpicked vintage jewelry. Each case is custom made by request. The blossoming designer, Deborah Zee, has also landed a project to create crystallized shoes for the Black Eyed Peas.
