Beginning on Saturday, February 2nd, Pera Soho will launch their Give Back Saturdays. The downtown restaurant will donate 10% of their bar total every Saturday from 9:30PM-1:30AM to a rotating group of non-profit organizations. During the events, Pera Soho will feature changing food and cocktail menus. The venue will have live DJs from the varied portfolio of Model DJ (Stadj). In addition to the bar donation, the nonprofits will have the opportunity for on-site donations and the venue will host a weeklong donating program on their website. Pera Soho will also allow partner charities to provide an exclusive offer to the evening’s guests, whereby if they return to the venue within 30 days, 10% of that bill will also be donated to the charity.
Launching this Saturday to benefit AKUT, Turkey’s first international search, rescue and disaster relief organization and an example of cross-border friendship and humanity in trying times, the initiative will continue throughout February with pre-determined charities including Right To Dream and the VH1 Save The Music Foundation before expanding in March to allow patrons to host evenings where said proceeds go to a non-profit of their choice.
Pera Soho expands upon the exploration of Eastern Mediterranean cuisine first embarked upon by midtown’s Pera Mediterranean Brasserie when it opened in late 2006 on Madison Avenue to become a “Top 5 Newcomer” in the 2008 Zagat Survey. A downtown-sized version of the original restaurant with an edgier approach to food and ambiance and with the pursuit of pleasing all five senses, Pera Soho embraces the Pera hallmark of presenting a culinary experience firmly rooted in centuries-old Eastern Mediterranean traditions, while incorporating contemporary Western trends, seasoned with New York City gustatory flair, without any compromise of the essential integrity of the food.http://peranyc.com/soho/.
