Who says giving back to the music community could not be a fun and exciting experience? Certainly not anyone who has attended a “Save The Music” event. Team JSD was invited to a memorable afternoon at the Give Back Hollywood benefit for VH1’s Save the Music Foundation. The star-studded event helped raise funds to support music education in public schools.
The event was hosted by designer and actress Vanessa Simmons and reality star Tamar Braxton of “Braxton Family Values” The lovely ladies spent much of the evening admiring the wares of the vendors who lent their support to the cause. Among the purveyors was jewelry designer A.Strass, whose black leather and Swarovski crystal bracelet became an instant favorite of the fashionable Ms. Simmons.
In addition to the product kiosks surrounding the venue, guests enjoyed rounds of the popular video game “Just Dance” with a few of the children being assisted through the foundation. As an added bonus singer and Actress Christina Milian teamed up with the youngsters to show off her stellar dance moves. Attendees were also treated to a performance by R&B newcomer Luke James. His soulful voice filled the venue with warmth and harmony. The talented singer /songwriter has penned hits for Justin Bieber and Chris Brown to name a few. The New Orleans native was given thunderous applause and a standing ovation in gratitude after his amazing set.
