In our never-ending quest for good eats, we stumbled across EXKi an all natural casual eaterie in Manhattan. The bright airy space is newly redecorated with bright white walls, live plants and inviting display cases. The Carrara Marble and European oak accents sets the tone for a bright, inviting place to enjoy a wholesome meal. EXKi’s new intuitive layout makes the delicious food a centerpiece as customers peruse the menu and grab-and-go options, and ample seating creates a welcoming environment for diners to sit down and refuel. The urban garden inspired décor perfectly complements the freshness of the menu offerings, and adds to the wellness centered experience. The decor mirrors EXKi’s menu of fresh vegetables clean eating. Guests who are in a hurry can pick up anyone of the varieties of grab and go snacks, sandwiches, and salads. EXKi also makes fresh juices and smoothies. Feel free to create your won blend of flavors or sample any one of their proprietary blends. We recommend the Keep Calm and Juice On, a special blend of fresh green kale, sweet apple, cinnamon and almond milk.
In addition to sandwiches and salads, EXKi also offers a delicious selection of customizable healthy bowls. The bowls start with a base of healthy grains like brown rice and quinoa, then an added layer of fresh veggies and dressing finished off with a good protein like salmon and free range chicken. Our initial fear was that we’d be ingesting flavorless bowls of cardboard but thankfully this was not the case! The veggies were crisp and fresh and the protein was lean but well seasoned and moist. Our favorite bowl was the roasted organic salmon bowl. This is one of four bowls curated by the master chef at EXKi. The base is made up of quinoa-cauliflower rice topped with roasted broccoli, toasted almonds and drizzled with roasted tomato dressing. The meal was tasty and filling in addition to being good for the body. Taken from the French word “exquis” which means exquisite or delightful, EXKi’s goal is to give customers a healthy and exquisite experience that keeps them coming back for more.
