What made our experience even more pleasant was Toshi himself spending the afternoon with us chatting about his swanky establishment. He was very friendly and candid, that means a lot in such a fast pace city. We enjoyed how he took his time to personally walk us through the entire menu and guided us through a tour of the space, including the exclusive penthouse.
We couldn’t leave without sampling the much talked about food!
We started with the delectable ‘Cheesy Cheesy Mac & Cheesy; made with elbow pasta with a asiago, manchego, Parmesan cream sauce topped with an herb breadcrumb. This creamy treat comes highly recommended, great start to your meal.
Fried Calamari was also a go-to option to help us get ready for the main course. The portion was generous and was enough to serve everyone at the table. Great for sharing!
If you’re a seafood lover, Salmon Sex (yes that’s the name) might be the choice for you. Served with veggies, we found the salmon to be cooked to perfection.
The Shut up and Beef actually made us shut up and devour this treat. The steak succulent and the pommes fries made for the perfect touch.
The menu at dinner Toshi’s Living Room has everything from Sliders, Salads, and Tuscan Flatbread Pizzas.
While searching for the perfect cocktail to wash down our dinner, Mr. Chan recommended The Tiki Toshi. What’s in it? A mixture of Bacardi superior with fresh coconut water, blue curacao and pineapple juice, topped off with Prosecco. Very refreshing I must say and not too strong for your taste buds.
Our favorite was The Toshi. This concoction was mixed with Beefeater Gin, Lemon, and Champagne. The mixologist also gives you the option of adding fresh fruit.
If you’re looking for something a little more on the strong side. Get the Gentle Manhattan; made with Angel’s Envy Bourbon, Sweet Vermouth, Blood Orange Juice, Peychaud’s bitters and flaming orange zest. The martini packs a punch and will be sure to wake you up!
The most rewarding amenities of the night are the unbelievable talent that graces the Toshi stage. Be sure to check their events calendar for a list of artist stopping by to perform. This particular night we got to hear the sounds of Chris Norton.
While you are there, be on the look out for Toshi’s famous dog who is quite friendly and always have the best seat in the house!
