Good
We’ll start with the bad news – Founder Josh Reed had no choice but to postpone the Gents launch event due to Hurricane Sandy. The good news – there’s a new luxuriously athletic menswear line available now.
Variety in men’s accessories can become nonexistent at times. I’m always on the lookout for items that will enhance my wardrobe, and a hat is usually my go-to. With that said, I tend to disregard baseball caps in my everyday attire because they all seem to be flat brimmed or feature a gaudy sports team logo.
Gents listened to the voice of consumers and filled a void in the market. Now men can wear luxury, curved brim caps that are uniquely designed to fit any man’s personal style. Wearing a baseball-style cap can now be considered sophisticated and upscale.
The new men’s lifestyle brand is complimented with a custom-build e-commerce website to launch into the menswear category. The site is designed for real time customization and provides so many options. Cap enthusiasts start with a base-fitted silhouette in a wide range of colors and then select one of 24 pre-made graphics in black, white or tonal embroidery. Consumers can also opt to monogram a few characters on either side of the cap. Designed with the finest fabrications, these caps exude a clean aesthetic that is still masculine and fashion-forward. The Gents collection is what you call “made to order.”
The advertising campaigning dropped in conjunction with the brand launch of Gent, oozes sex. Black and white imagery of a gentleman’s night out get steamy all of a sudden, with the addition of a confident woman to round out the boy’s club. Let’s just say, what happens in the ad campaign stays in the ad campaign.
If the images of the ad campaign alone are not enough to get you…..interested in the brand, check out the video of the photo shoot. RED-HOT!
Gents will soon expand to a variety of men’s accessories, apparel and lifestyle products that are both affordable and luxurious. Lucky us.
