We just love when new restaurants arrive in the big apple. Recently we stopped by ePasta, the Financial Districts newest eatery. This cozy spot is brought to you by restaurateur Elio Gjonbalaj whose hospitality portfolio includes Antica Ristorante, Antica TriBeCa, and Allora Ristorante. Elio’s son, Tim Gjonbalaj will oversee the new restaurant.
Upon entering ePasta, patrons are immediately greeted by long and decadent marble countertop. One side is the central ordering station and the other is bar seating. There is also additional seating throughout the restaurant. You will also notice owner Elio’s favorite quote, ‘You Better Believe It’ displayed in neon over the stadium seats, which diners will understand once they take their first bite of the team’s pasta options. Speaking of pasta, we can’t begin to tell you how delicious is their popular 30ft Long Pasta or ‘Miller’s Wife Pasta’.
The Miller’s Wife Pasta consist of 30 Foot Long Single Strand Pasta served with basil, marinara, cream, and meatballs. So delicious! Another favorite was the Eli-O’s (Spaghetti O’s or Anelletti with marinara and meatballs). The sauce itself had us going back for a second serving.
ePasta will be serving up breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well. Other menu items include Gnocchi Pesto, Rigatoni Veal Bolognese, Capellini Primavera Pasta with Vegetable Sauce, Rigatoni with Broccoli Rabe, Italian Sausage and Olive Oil Penne all’Arrabbiata, and, Chicken Parm Pizza, which you can order by the slice or in full. They also have a fully stocked bar. We personally enjoyed their wine selections. During the warmer months, the restaurant will turn the adjacent alleyway into e Birreria for craft beers and al fresco happy hour and dining.
ePasta is open from 7am-11pm and located at 20 Maiden Lane, NY, NY, 10038. Head over to epastanyc.com for more information.
