The EFFEN Vodka Art of Design Annual event was held this year at the iconic Empire Hotel Roof-top Lounge. Attendees were invited to judge the best cocktail of the night featuring the new EFFEN Black Cherry Vodka.
When the night began the roof deck was covered because of a prediction of rain. However, before the evening was over the top came off as the party-goers inhibitions came down. Maybe the delicious cocktails made by the five competing teams had something to do with it.
Also aiding the party atmosphere was the create your own cocktail station featuring EFFEN Cucumber Vodka. My ‘White Mary” cocktail featured EFFEN Cucumber Vodka, Roma tomatoes, lime juice, bell peppers, jalapenos, and cilantro.
The winning mixologist was Jhailen Puello creator of the Kyoto Cocktail which was also my favorite of the night.
The Kyoto Cocktail:
1.5 oz Effen 80 proof
2 oz Tazo passion hibiscus tea
1 oz Agave Nectar
topped with sprite
garnished with a mint spring
