DL1961 presented their S/S 2013 runway show at Pier 57 in New York on Sept 5. The location was perfect for the urban inspired collection, with views of the Hudson River. “This season DL1961 honors New York city’s rich heritage and gritty aesthetic by honing in on the effortlessly chic and glamorous, lifestyle New Yorkers are known for,” says Sarah Ahmed, DL1961 Creative Director.
The runway show featured jeans embellished with embroidery, cool metallic tones, muted pastels, bold prints and flashbacks to acid washed jeans, denim jackets and vests. The star of the show were the 4-way stretch X-FIT LYCRA Denim. These jeans a made to mold to an individual’s body, and move 360 degrees as demonstrated by a troupe of dancers that opened the show. A pair in white with a fun top is the outfit for a night out on the town next Spring.
