Siriano‘s Spring 2012 is anything but a hot mess. It is a fusion of drama and casual cool. Floor sweeping chiffon skirts paired with simple jersey tees sauntered down the runway. Followed by beautifully draped equally dramatic gowns, in an array of beautiful citrus tones. The former reality star and payless show designer presented a light airy collection for day as well as high drama for evening. In addition to the ornate gowns, tailored cocktail dresses glided down the catwalk, making for a well-rounded collection of looks for every occasion.
Our favorite look was this striped bustier with tulle ball skirt. The voluminous skirt and form fitting bustier are a formidable pair. Separately they are great but together they create a high fashion fantasy of drama and simplicity.
This adorable white frock is perfect for any occasion. From a brunch in the city to a weekend in the Hamptons, it is an easy choice and one that will remain a classic piece in any woman’s wardrobe.
This tulle applique strapless gown is a grand example of Siriano’s attention to detail. The dress is as much about softness as it is about mobility. The layers of fabric move gracefully with every step adding to the allure of this piece.
Understood by few but adored by many, Siriano continues his pursuit to break free from the shackles of reality stardom and carve a well deserved niche. With so many shows to visit in a fashion season Siriano’s is one that mustn’t be missed as he continues to keep fashion interesting, alive and relevant.
