Nerai was recently named one of the top 75 restaurants in NYC according to TripAdvisor. The restaurant is known for its warm hospitality, finest wines, and delicious Greek cuisines. It comes as no surprise Nerai received the first Wine Spectator Best of Award of Excellence. Of course, an achievement like this should be celebrated!
On Thursday, August 8th, Nerai hosted a special wine tasting event. Their wine cellar holds up to 4,000 bottles of wine, includes options ranging in price from $55 to over $2,000 a bottle, which are carefully selected by Nerai‘s wine director, Michael Coll. Coll, along with Nerai’s owner Spiro Menegatos greeted guests as they entered the restaurant’s second floor. Friends, family, and members of the media sampled selections from their expansive wine menu, like wines from Eklektikon, Cava Spiliadis, DNS Wines, Skurnik wines from the Ted Diamantis portfolio, Athenee and Craft & Estates.
The wines were complemented by Greek dishes ranging from spanikopita and zucchini croquettes, to Greek meatballs and spread from Executive Chef Moshe Grundman.
Nerai is located in the midtown section of Manhattan on East 54th Street, between Madison and Park, in the heart of the city. For more information, visit nerainyc.com.
