Last week we witnessed a remarkable event that blended glamour, philanthropy, and a deep commitment to preserving our planet’s precious natural resources. Hosted by Amy Green and Gary Green at their Bridgehampton residence, the inaugural Footprint of Life Gala proved to be an unforgettable evening that brought together influential individuals, leading organizations, and a shared passion for conservation.
The event, organized by the family-run, The Green Vision Foundation, was a stellar success, raising over $600,000 to support various charitable initiatives. The gala, themed “50 Shades of Green,” had all the elements of a glamorous soirée – from jungle-inspired decor to musical performances by renowned artists and so much more.
The highlight of the evening was not just the glitz and glamour, but the underlying mission to promote environmental awareness, community upliftment, and conservation efforts across Africa. Amy Green, Global Ambassador and one of the event’s hosts, passionately emphasized the significance of the gala, stating, “It was also about raising the universal vibration. Coming together to find ways to support each other and make change in the most crucial parts of the world is vitally important.”
Tusk, with the Royal Patronage of HRH Prince William, The Prince of Wales, has been at the forefront of African conservation for decades. The African Community & Conservation Foundation (ACCF) serves as a vital link between global citizens and sustainable programs in Africa.
The star-studded guest list included influential personalities from various fields, including Erin Lichy of “The Real Housewives of New York City,” Rohan Oza of “Shark Tank,” and renowned musician Grace Vanderwaal. Not only did attendees have the chance to enjoy musical performances by artists like JAN BLOMQVIST and DJ RUCKUS, but they also had the privilege of experiencing the captivating fine art photography of David Yarrow.
The event’s sponsors contributed to its grandeur, with names like Nobu, Macallan, and Ferrari among others, supporting the cause. The Brady Hunter Foundation, dedicated to animal welfare, was another integral part of the event, underscoring the comprehensive approach to preserving all forms of life on our planet.
Amy Green, Gary Green, Bob Zangrillo, and Danny Armijos led the event as chairs, with a host committee that included Carolyn Rafaelian, Kunal Sood, Maria Buccellati, and other notable individuals. Tatiana Byron of 4PM Events orchestrated the production, ensuring that every aspect of the gala resonated with its message.
In conclusion, the Footprint of Life Gala 2023 wasn’t just a glitzy affair; it was a movement. A movement that united passionate individuals and organizations under a common goal – to safeguard our planet’s natural beauty and its inhabitants for generations to come. As the event sets the stage for more such initiatives worldwide, it serves as a reminder that when people come together with purpose, remarkable change can unfold.
