Celebrating Spritz Season with Lillet

by xoJohn

Last week, we joined our friends at Lillet to kick-off the Spring season. Although the weather in New York City might not be so Spring-like, Lillet cocktails kept us feeling warm and fuzzy on the inside. The kick-off celebration was held at City Vineyard. The restaurant provided the perfect backdrop for such an occasion, thanks to the waterfront views and Summery decor. To get everyone into the Spring spirit, Lillet invited guests to partake in the DIY Lillet Spritz Garnish Bar, featuring various garnishes to add to the Lillet Blanc or Lillet Rosé. The Lillet Spritz is a great sipping beverage with a light and very refreshing taste.

We’re happy to report the return of one of Brooklyn’s hottest spots, The Springs, which is located in the Greenpoint section of the popular borough. This is the spot soak up the sun, chill, and sip on delicious frozen cocktails. The Springs not only has an outdoor space but an expansive bar and lounge. On the night of our visit, we enjoyed the newly renovated patio. This area was inspired by retro vibes of Palm Springs circa the 1950s with lounge style seating and rainbow-colored decor. Although inspiration comes from the west coast, the vibes of The Springs remains true to Brooklyn and its edginess.

New Yorkers will be the first and some of the only consumers who will be able to get their hands on the latest evian® x Virgil Abloh collaboration. As evian’s latest Creative Advisor for Sustainable Innovation Design, Virgil applied his iconic design vision to this year’s limited-edition glass bottle, and it’s debuting in the U.S. for the first time at a can’t-miss launch event.

Bulleit is not only one of our favorite brands but one of the fastest-growing whiskeys in America. Bulleit was founded in 1987 by Tom Bulleit, who attributes that growth to bartenders and cultural partners who’ve adopted it as their own. The Bulleit Frontier Whiskey portfolio is distilled and aged in the Bulleit family tradition, using a distinctive high rye recipe, which gives them a bold, spicy taste.

We ‘Luv Tea’

by Desha Winborne

In 2015, Luv Tea started as a wholesaler of tournament-grade and award-winning teas from A-Li-Shan in Taiwan. Soon after, Tea Master Jaesy Wang opened the Luv Tea showroom and brought a little slice of zen to the West Village. Luv Tea is a quaint tea emporium that serves seasonal blends of high-grade teas. The specialty of the house is exclusive Taiwanese tea, from their own farms, grown harvested and roasted by local artisans. Since its opening, the cozy tea shop has amassed a loyal group of regulars, who often stop by to enjoy a relaxed unhurried beverage.

Introducting Upstate Vodka by Sauvage

by xoJohn

The makers of Comsi Comsa Apple Sparkling Wine has added a new vodka to their ever-growing catalog, Upstate Vodka. The vodka is like no other. Upstate Vodka is produced in Oneonta, NY and is made from locally sourced New York State apples. It is produced in small batches with high-quality standards. While there are apples involved in the production of the vodka, it is not apple flavored. For the ultimate taste test, we chilled the vodka and poured it into a shot glass. We would describe the taste as having a little sweetness in the beginning but smooths out, almost instantly. Even with the tiniest sip, the flavor of the vodka will still fill your mouth, minus the burning sensation you get from other vodkas.
