We got a sneak peek at the new 92K sq. ft. store located in the heart of Union Square in New York City. As one of Burlington’s largest locations, the new store houses an endless amount of today’s top brands for very affordable prices.
“We’re looking at this store as our overall flagship,” Tom Kingsbury, president and chief executive officer, told WWD in an interview Tuesday. “We have a very diverse population that shops in our stores overall, but our intention is to make sure every store is a little different and emphasize the treasure hunt.” Kingsbury went on to say, “We feel very good about the off-price model. There’s a pretty nice flow of product all the time. Availability is good.”
I couldn’t agree more… Upon entering the men’s department, my attention was immediately drawn to a military style coat by Buffalo David Bitton. I had to have it, but of course my desired size or color was not on the racks. Within seconds, not one but two associates greeted me with a smile and asked if I needed any assistance. I explained my dilemma and without hesitation they contacted the stockroom to see if there were any back-stock on this item. The anticipation was killing me but five minutes later the associate approached me with a fresh new coat in my requested size and color. After being marked down from about $119, my new fall coat was only $59.99. We love a good bargain! This new retail treat is the ultimate shopping destination and caters to a wide range of customers that travel from the boroughs, as well as caters to those residing in Manhattan.
The new store is now open at 4 Union Square South (at 14th Street and University Place); Store hours: Monday – Saturday 9 AM to 10 PM, Sunday 10 AM- 8 PM
