The fabulously fierce fashion design duo The Blonds, Phillipe and David Blond, believe “that every woman should be glamorous every day.” There latest runway show for MILK MADE S/S 2014 takes women’s fashion to the final frontier -Space. Phillip Blond opens the show in a silver crystal encrusted moon man suit complete with helmet and glam flag then quickly tears away the suit to reveal a golden crystal bodysuit with blonde tresses to match. This opening is the perfect blast-off for an out of this world S/S 2014 collection.

The beauty look at The Blonds was designed by makeup artist Kabuki for MAC Cosmetics. Eyes were enhanced with yellow and blue shadow with dramatic lashes. The eyebrows drawn by Kabuki were a homage to Spock of Star Trek fame. If I had to choose I would say they were more Zachary Quinto than Leonard Nimoy and the Vulcan love continued with pointy ear headbands. The hair design was by Nick Irwin of TIGI. He created slicked-back styles, which were topped-off with over sized hair balls on top. “We’re slicking the hair back real tight to give the girls a mini eyelift,” Irwin quipped.
Nail art, courtesy of CND. The brand churned out over 30 sets of nails — and the detail was impeccable. Gemstones made from gel polish, Swarovski crystals, and even retractable hinges were all present. The Blonds are all about the details and the complete look.
This collection ensembles are what Judy Jetson would wear to Club Saturn. White hot hot pants with pointed waists that defy gravity. A silver jacket and shorts is Street Style from the future right now. The last look was Rock and Roll and Space collide, a green and blue aquamarine sequined embellished cocktail dress that is World Music Awards ready.
I ask this question after every Blonds runway event “How will they top this?” and they always do!
