Fall is one of the best times to vacation in New York State and the New York State Division of Tourism celebrated with a Culinary Harvest “Beer Garden” themed event held at the legendary Prince George’s Ball Room in New York City.
Prince George’s Ball Room was transformed for one night only into an autumnal wonderland inhabited by New York’s finest chefs and stocked with the wonderful wines and beers from all across the state. Dishes were specially engineered to include locally sourced ingredients from across New York State. A unique and crowd-pleasing offering was Chicken Fried Rabbit and Waffles with Red Eye Gravy from Chef Rich Parente of the Clock Tower Grill in Brewster New York. The Famous New York Apple was spotlighted in many ways chocolate covered in jams and a wonderful Apple Wine.
The event also served to educate attendees on the many activities and places to explore around the state.
