Zang Toi Autumn/Winter 2012 Collection

by Melissa Davis

I love a classic fashion show. I got everything I wanted and more at the Zang Toi runway show. When attending a show I like to be taken in with the entire production and when the lights went down for the Zang Toi runway and Adele started playing I knew I was in for an emotional reaction to what I was about to see.

I must confess, Duckie Brown and I have this love/hate relationship.

Duckie Brown Spring/Summer 2012

by Melissa Davis

The designers of Duckie Brown always leave just a bit to be desired in my heart. Their spring summer collection seemed to be a bit haphazard and incongruous.

Tibi Spring/Summer 2012 Collection

Tibi Spring 2012 collection is a lesson in simple elegance. Everything that came down the runway embodied that a great designer can make simple not a negative.

Viewing what’s on board for Candela Spring/Summer 2012 makes me think of one phrase “It’s all in the details.”

Improvd Spring/Summer 2012 Collection

by Melissa Davis

The most important thing I enjoyed about the Improvd presentation was the hair and staging. The inspiration for the Spring/Summer 2012 line was parrots and I could see that in the hair and makeup of the girls.

Walking into the Green House at the Mondrian hotel in SoHo transported to a winter wonderland.
Lucky for me I was there to view Ann Taylor‘s Holiday 2011 collection.
The space was decorated with clothes everywhere all broken up into design categories.
