Sally Lapointe debuted her collection the day storm Nemo was set to wreak havoc on New York City. Before the storm was in full bloom, fashion week attendees filled Pier 57 in their fur coats, parkas, and snow boots. When the show began it was as if for 15 minutes we all forgot about the storm that was going on outside and were focused on the edgy silk and leather pieces Sally Lapointe models walked down the runway in.

Tadash Shoji Spring/Summer 2013 Collection
In a sea of over-the-top trends, Tadashi Shoji always manages to stay true to his aesthetic. Whether it’s spring or fall you can always expect glamorous sophisticated dresses with a touch of sexiness. Next spring Tadashi literally will have you laced in the most flattering cocktail and red carpet-ready dresses. His spring collection spawned sweet colorful delicate laced dresses in rich blue’s, red’s, and orange hues. He even dabbled with prints by producing floor-length dresses in colorful ikat prints. When it comes to creating silhouettes that are flattering to a woman’s body Tadashi has that down pat and it was prevalent in his spring collection. He took a break from his signature ruching and draping and focused on more streamlined simplistic cuts.
Erin Barr Spring/Summer 2013 Collection
It seems that the upcoming spring season will possess femininity, strength, structure, and a little bit of seduction according to the collection of Erin Barr. Erin took the minimalist approach to spring dressing and added splashes of color which included vampy red and black.
Monika Chiang Spring/Summer 2013 Collection
I love seeing collections that are down to earth and not so over the top. Monika Chiang’s spring collection not only provided realistic looks but it had a downtown girl flair that was equal parts cool and chic.

Farah Angsana Fall 2011: Bringing Back 70’s Glamour
Evening Wear designer Farah Angsana knocked it out of the park with her Fall 2011 collection. Justin Timberlake may have brought sexy back, but, Farah definitely brought the 70s back. Angsana’s collection had that 70’s decadence with beautiful gowns that were glamorous and sexy. A number of pieces were heavily beaded and draped in sequins. There was enough sparkle and shine to make Ms. Diana Ross herself gasp in awe.
