Available today is the second installment of the collaboration continues to be influenced by both Puma’s considerable sporting heritage and ASOS BLACK’s design lead aesthetic. The ASOS design team has drawn heavily on these influences, using printed fabrics, tailored construction and experimental effects such as exaggerated polka dots, ombre and color taping to create a contemporary interpretation of athletic style.
This season, ASOS recruited members of London’s underground creative class to collaborate on the creation of the collection’s lookbook and a limited-edition, scan-to-shop fanzine. Thristian Richards (aka bPM), cofounder of Boiler Room, a secret, migrating party with cutting edge UK DJs that livestreams performances on the web, Daniel David Freeman, a London-based illustrator, and Caleb Kilby, a tattoo artist, are photographed in ASOS BLACK x Puma looks by Michael Mayren, a documentary photographer out of Manchester, England. The fanzine will launch with the collection in June and feature specially curated-projects by each artist, such as a bespoke music mix from Richards and exclusive artwork from Freeman, Kilby, and Mayren.
