Amanda Dolan (in head to toe Betsey Johnson) poses with her 'French Vanilla' piece
Amanda Dolan premiered her latest installation of artwork, titled ‘Precious Things’ with a fun intimate setting in the heart of Soho New York at Ward-Nasse Art Gallery. Guest enjoyed cupcakes, wine, customized M&M’s, music, and a meet & greet with the fabulous Amanda Dolan herself. Her artwork matched her friendly and bubbly personality; lots of bright and bold colors with strong statements. We saw dog portraits and sculptures, dubbed “post-modern flower pots” by Dolan herself. She dished to us that each piece took a week to make and lots of layers were involved. Each piece would simply brighten up any room.
With about half of “Precious Things” selling out on opening night, the remainder of the pieces will remain on display through October 31st, 2009. Fun times!

Collage Portraits
Whether it be an image of yourself, an idol, a loved one, or pet, I can transform any of your favorite images into a kaleidoscope of colors, textures, and shapes. I can include text that inspires or intrigues you to bring the portrait full circle into a multi-layered journey.Abstracts
Shapes, colors, layers- whatever it is that triggers your mood- I can explore for you. From color drips to more detailed, intricate pieces, I find ways to incorporate the emotions you feel- from relaxation, to determination. I can abstractly capture it on the page.
