Anya Hindmarch presented her Spring/Summer 2012 handbag collection at “The Old Tube Station”. While other designers were showing at the Somerset House at London’s Fashion week, Anya had utilized the abandoned underground train station to coincide with her theme’s collection “Lost & Found. Upon entering the station immediately you could feel like you were going back in time. This was obvious through Anya Hindmarch’s choice of display pieces through the “old tube”. Old suitcases, tin boxes, books, and televisions served as tables to show off her collection of primary colored leather handbags. Snakeskin clutches with gold clasp were hidden within a flower stand arrangement. Walking deeper into this old station you could also find rooms with more displays of Anya’s resort like collection of straw totes, some with delicate flower embroidery. “Lost & Found” lived up to its name. Anya’s handbag collection was cleverly, creatively hidden amongst old treasures. At times you would have to look closely and be amazed that you have found one of Anya’s ss/12 creations and think to yourself, “Wow”.
