Opened by a 30-minute performance by Spanish rock artist Lily Vasquez, the Annie S. Intimates presentation was quite a upbeat show held at the Midtown Loft and Terrace event space. Ms. Segura incorporates the 1950’s burlesque styles into her spring collection, drawing from the emphases of curves and voluptuousness. She takes to the naughty and rebellious nature of icons such as Marilyn Monroe, Betty Page and Lana Turner. The provocative collection was filled with bold themes embodied in gold metallics, ultra sheer fabrics, and racy laces.
Not for the feint of heart, it takes a real women to dare to walk in these couture intimates, as the thump of the drums rolled out each model in her feistiest set.
